“More ambitious” and “amazing” is the new edition of Starlite Marbella, which will be held from July 13 to August 26. This is what has been announced this evening by the founders of the festival during a lively feast of presentation to which they have put to music the singers Antonio Carmona and Antonio José.
With a spectacle of music, dance and colour has started the celebration at the Teatro Gran Maestre, decorated for an occasion that was posed, in the words of the presenter of the gala, Alejandra Prat, as “a very magical night” and “to enjoy”.
The objective, he says, share “the secrets and ins and outs” of this edition, and to “celebrate” the successes of the previous.
The founders and architects of the Starlite, Sandra Garcia-Sanjuan and her husband Ignacio Maluquer, have also risen to the stage to thank the attendees for their step for the celebration and to remember that the festival has become a reality “a dream too big” they both had.
“Each year we like to surprise,” says Maluquer, who considers this edition as “the most ambitious to date”, by providing forty-five days of uninterrupted music and entertainment by the poster most extensive to date.
In it appear the names of such renowned artists as Juan Luis Guerra, Elton John, Joaquin Sabina, Miguel Bosé, Luis Fonsi, Carlos Vives, Anastacia, Manuel Carrasco, Malú, Ana Torroja, Eros Ramazzotti and Dani Martín, among many others that are part of an extensive list that also add up some of the most relevant artists in electronic music.
“The universe of Starlite grows, beyond Marbella,” says Maluquer, who underlined the international character of the festival and has brought forward the launch of a platform of online shopping linked to the same.
The supermodel Valeria Mazza, arrival from Argentina to attend the event, has not let slip the occasion to tell the guests that he has “great desire” to be at the festival to enjoy all that is prepared, as the charity gala, one year more, will present.
Elena Furiase, Vicky Martín Berrocal, Arantxa de Benito and Miriam Díaz Aroca are some of the other famous faces that have passed through the party, which have been put to music by Antonio José, on behalf of the poster Sessions, and Antonio Carmona, artist of the poster of the Auditorium, which believes that Starlite has become “the big stage”.
In its five years of life, Starlite Marbella has managed to gather more than 100 artists, 500 celebrities and more than half a million people.
