Marbella (Malaga), 22 jul (EFE).- Songs turned into hymns of love, with essentially cuban and mexican, and a melancholy song to life have featured this evening the artists Pablo Milanés and Pancho Céspedes in their only joint concert in Spain, in the framework of the festival Starlite Marbella. Cuban composers had agreed previously in the studio or on the stage by reason of any collaboration isolated between the two, but never until this night had gathered to offer an evening complete in that both of them have unraveled some of their greatest hits, as well as parts mythical songbook mexican. Milanés, who has chosen the scenario dug in the rock of the quarry of Nagüeles, in Marbella (Malaga), to close their summer tour in Spain-it’s called ‘Songs Forever’, have carried the weight of the action during the first part of the concert. The composer, founder of the cuban Nueva Trova, has been on a journey by some of his more well-known topics, among which there have been plenty of ‘How much I won, as I lost’, ‘If she was missing any turn’, ‘Loneliness’, or the expected and always beautiful ‘Yolanda’. The artist, born in Bayamo, which has recently been distinguished in Cartagena with the award for ‘The Sea of Music, wanted to also pay tribute to the “wonderful singer” Luis Eduardo Aute, that he wished that very soon return to “delight as you did before to different generations”, playing his song ‘Go’. A tribute to which has been added later, in the second part of the evening, the singer Pancho Cespedes, which has stated that the singer “is malito, but it’s going to be okay.” Grasses, hair and beard blue and dark glasses -which has subsequently changed by other ver-, has thanked Milan “the courtesy of inviting this mulatito” to share the stage with “the master”. The cuban artist, who lived for decades in Mexico, has interpreted several of his most famous songs, which have been interspersed with topics as well known as ‘once Only’ or ‘Bésame mucho’, the authors Agustín Lara, and Consuelo Velazquez, respectively. Céspedes, who celebrates his 48-year career, he has shown his power and his versatility vocal and has interacted continuously with the audience during his solo performance, which has given way to the meeting on the scene of both artists to interpret a duet, ‘The local life’, his greatest success and which met two decades. During the unprecedented meeting, the participants enjoyed songs such as ‘Where is the life’, ‘happiness’, ‘To live’ and ‘The brief space in which you’re not’, the theme, with the audience already on its feet, closed the evening before Milan and Grasses to give away the encore, ‘I will not ask’, with the that have been dismissed from the public in Spain.
