Two students from the Centre for Tourism Training (Cenfotur) were selected among the ten best in the world by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to participate in the “I Contest of Ideas to boost the development of human talent in tourism”, to be held in Spain.
This contest seeks to help students of tourism of the member countries of the UNWTO to develop ideas to enhance human talent in the field of tourism at the global level.
In this way, Rodrigo Cayuri Rodriguez and Ronso Silva – Arrieta Ontaneda, students of the career of Tourism Administration, managed to be among the finalists to present the idea of research entitled: “The volunteer tourist – the solution for the sustainable development of human talent”.
“The idea is to have a volunteer in the village of San Juan de Uchucuanico, in Huaral, to implement a sustainable tourism with tourism students and people specialized in the sector and with it make this place arising out of poverty,” said Rodrigo Cayuri.
For its part, Ronso Silva – Arrieta explained that they chose St John of Uchucuanico because this place has an archaeological site that still has not been put into value. “It is not yet a tourist attraction and could generate income, benefit the tourism, and at the same time find its sustainability in the village,” he said.
The outstanding students will present the research idea at the World Congress of Human Talent, in the city of Marbella, the next 10 of October. Will be the only representatives of Peru and will compete with students from Colombia, Russia, Australia, Spain, Japan, among other countries.
