Four servicemen were killed drowned this morning in an accident on the beach Marbella in Magdalena. It is about four corners of the Barracks Simon Bolivar of Pueblo Libre.
A witness -who requested anonymity – told RPP News that 10 military officers, nine corporals, and a major, were conducting exercises on the shore, when a huge wave dragged them to the sea.
Were necessary up to 18 lifeguards from the Police to rescue the soldiers who were in the sea. Unfortunately, four of them lost their lives.
The victims. The victims were identified as Percy Couple Galvez (21), Miguel Leon Blade (20), Bryan Lizana Chavez (20), Edinson Huangal Alvarado (18). It is unknown, for the moment, the identity of the two military rescued alive from the waters of the beach Marbella. They were moved from emergency to a hospital.
In dialogue with RPP News, the lifeguard Jose Solar, explained that two brigades of this unit came to the beach to work on the rescue of the military. The agent clarified that this beach is not suitable for swimmers due to the force of its waves and the presence of rocks.
